Can be installed on any Model A Ford running gear
1928-1931.
Will bolt up to any Model A Ford cowl section except the slant window or
roadster.
Comes completely assembled and finished including seat and side curtains,
and is ready to bolt onto the running gear.
The bed frame is constructed of Douglas Fir to absorb vibration.
The entire Model A body is constructed of kiln dried select red oak with
exception of the floor, which is 3/4" solid core oak plywood and the roof which is
1/4" solid core oak plywood. The plywood is recommended in those two areas for
strength and durability.
All our Model A Ford bodies are equipped with full front doors and operating safety glass
windows.
Each body is hand sanded and then sprayed with two coats of clear
sanding sealer. After the sealer has cured, the body is again sanded and then sprayed with
three coats of spar marine varnish. The body is then rubbed and waxed.
The bottom of each body is finished with black acrylic enamel.
The top is padded with 3/8" foam and then covered with top quality
long grain sedan decking and trimmed with black hidem.
The side curtains each have a clear plastic window in them and snap onto
the body with "lift-the-dots" fasteners.
The seats are made of solid platforms built up with solid foam covered
in black superior quality vinyl. By using the solid platform and foam we have a more
comfortable seat. This also eliminates mice problems during storage.
